About The Role

With plans for future library improvements this is an excellent time to join Islington Libraries. Quality services are provided with a strong customer focused approach. We require talented, committed members of staff to take the service forward.

You will need to have a strong interest in:

  • Reader Development and promoting the service including delivering activities
  • Serving the whole community including children and families, and those traditionally excluded
  • Developing outreach activities and working with partners to increase library membership and take-up

We have two part-time posts available (17.5 hours)

The post of Librarian assists in the management of busy branch libraries. Applicants should have previous experience of working in a library; skills and experience in premises and staff management and be able to work as part of a team. Excellent people skills and a commitment to providing a high level of customer service are essential.

The post requires evening and weekend working.
