About The Role

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced and skilled individual as an Accommodation Based Broker within our Adult Social Care Brokerage Team.

The Brokerage Officer – Accommodation based will be primarily responsible for finding cost effective and timely services for sourcing placements across all accommodation based services, including care homes and supported living. You will be working with the social care teams to achieve good outcomes, sourcing placements that are value for money and developing good working relationships with providers to contribute to managing the market in Islington.

This is a nine-month, fixed term contract to provide maternity cover.

You will place the needs and aspirations of the people of Islington at the centre of everything you do, working with providers in ensuring that services are accessible, of the highest quality and represent value for money. 

You will be comfortable working across professional, service and organisational boundaries to ensure a collaborative approach to achieving our ambitions.

You will have great knowledge of the brokerage market within and outside the NCL ensuring best practices for the Council and our residents.

You will have sound knowledge of the Care Act to ensure providers are compliant with CQC protocols. Also, an extensive knowledge in IT will be essential as the role will require working on a social care system and Microsoft applications.
