About The Role

We are looking for a flexible and self-motivated Complaints and Appeals Officer to join us as part of the Complaints and Appeals Team within Community Wealth Building.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will be required to prepare case submissions and take the lead in representing the council at tribunal and other relevant hearings.  High standards of quality and accuracy are a must, and key for this role. You will have an excellent knowledge of housing benefit legislation and a good knowledge of other welfare benefits. Our customers are to be treated with dignity and respect whilst maintaining the council's position.

Other challenging aspects of this role will be to assist your colleagues in investigating and responding to all levels of complaints including LGO, and attend meetings on behalf of the council. You will need proven high levels of customer service to promote and maintain the reputation of the council and ensure that our customers are at the heart of what we do.
