An opportunity has arisen for a Public Health Project Officer to join Camden and Islington Public Health on a part time, fixed-term contract. We are a well-established, joint department of 63 public health professionals who work across two boroughs, where improving the health and wellbeing of residents / reducing health inequalities are key priorities.

We are looking for a highly competent, enthusiastic, and dynamic leader to join our team on a fixed-term basis to help bring our ground-breaking work tackling obesity in Camden to fruition. This role is specific to the borough of Camden, over the equivalent of 3 days per week.

The successful applicant will be required to create strong working relationships with senior figures across the local public sector in order to ensure the successful delivery of our “Healthy Weight, Healthy Lives” and “Camden Can” agendas, as well as developing joined-up approaches with colleagues, teams and departments across Camden Council.

At Camden and Islington, we are committed to continuing development within a supportive climate. We offer a comprehensive programme of training to enable all employees to fulfil their personal and professional potential. All employees are provided with laptops and all necessary facilities to enable remote working.

This role will be based in Camden Council's offices in Pancras Square, King's Cross.
