This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small but expanding team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable adults to join us in a new permanent role.

Shared Lives a national network of Shared Lives Carers which provide long and short-term respite and day care within their home to vulnerable adults so that they are able to:

• Be in control of their services and their lives.
• Pursue ordinary lives within their chosen families and relationships.
• Make a positive contribution and be valued by their communities.

As part of a new team, you will play a vital role in expanding Islington’s Shared Lives Scheme by promoting the scheme and successfully increasing the number of Shared Lives Carers. This involves working with service users and their families, and a wide variety of stakeholders. The main focus will be working with people with range of complex and profound learning disabilities and mental health needs, but may include all customer groups as appropriate.

The Shared Lives Manager will be responsible for strategic and operational development of the scheme in addition to undertaking the role of the CQC Registered Manager.
