Islington Library & Heritage Services

With a newly opened library and a Year of Reading in 2018 this is an excellent time to join Islington Libraries. Quality services are provided with a strong customer focused approach. We require talented, committed staff to take the service forward.

You will need to have a strong interest in:

  • Reader Development and promoting the service
  • Serving the whole community including children and families, and those traditionally excluded
  • Developing outreach activities and working with partners to increase library membership and take-up

We have a number of Librarian vacancies - Scale 6 Part time 17.5 and Full time 35 hours per week

Scale 6 £26,865 - £28,440 p.a. pro rata

The post of Librarian assists in the management of busy branch libraries. Applicants should have skills and experience in premises and staff management and be able to work as part of a team. Excellent people skills and a commitment to providing a high level of customer service are essential.

All posts require evening and weekend working.
