Islington Council’s Housing Department is looking to appoint an experienced Building Surveyor and contract Administrator to work on an exciting new contract of planned maintenance and refurbishment works to the Council’s mainly Victorian street property conversions.

The ideal candidate will have a construction-related qualification to degree level and/or a minimum of 3-5 years' experience of surveying properties, preparing specifications of work and supervising works on site as contract administrator.

Islington Council prides itself in having a large in-house technical team of building surveyors, architects, clerk of works, quantity surveyors and M&E engineers to run its capital refurbishment and planned maintenance programmes. The successful candidate will be a key member of this dynamic team.

We take professional development very seriously and can offer a wide range of training events and CPD opportunities, together with a generous annual leave allocation. The borough of Islington is small but vibrant and a very interesting and diverse place to work. If the above inspires you and you feel that you meet the criteria, we would really like to hear from you.  Please contact Gary Chapman for an informal discussion and/or submit an application form.

Closing date:  Sunday 31st January 2021 at 23:59pm
