Personal Assistant to the Principal

Salary Grade: Scale 6 – SO1 Actual salary: £23,700 - £27,471

Hours: 35 per week - Term Time only + 5 days

Required as soon as possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a personal assistant to the principal to join our administrative team and work pro-actively with the trust, governors, senior management team, heads of department and teachers to promote student progress and achievement.

You will work under the direct supervision of principal and you will liaise with the office manager to assist with effective administration support. A meticulous attention to detail is paramount. You should have excellent IT skills, be well organised, have a professional approach to work and be able to prioritise workloads to meet critical deadlines. You must also be willing to undertake further training.

You will be expected to manage your own workload and prioritise work appropriately.

Normal hours will be between 8.00 and 16.00. It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents, governors and external agencies.

In this post you will play an instrumental role in school improvement, developing whole-school systems and ensuring that the school is outstanding in every category within three years. You will be working with a team whose mission it is to embed excellence in everything we do.
